Sunday Morning: What to Expect
10:00 AM - Fellowship Time (coffee and snacks provided)
10:15 AM - Worship Celebration (75 minutes)
ACC places a high value on families worshiping together. Therefore, care is provided for nursery, toddlers and preschoolers, while older children (ages 6+) remain with the adults throughout the worship service. Don't fret, it's not nearly as chaotic as you might think. Fun message-related activities are provided for children to help keep them engaged during the sermon. Folks at ACC are finding great excitement in worshiping together as an inter-generational congregation.
All are welcome to wear whatever fits their custom, culture and/or desire. The service is worshipful but casual, so feel free to dress comfortably.
ACC is a very friendly group of people of various ages, nationalities, backgrounds and views. All are welcomed and accepted at ACC.
KIDS & TEENS
Children (birth - 5th grade): Kids love ACC on Sunday mornings! Beginning at 9:15 AM Community Kids provides age-appropriate games, songs and Bible lessons that kids enjoy. Children (ages 4 +) stay and worship with their parent(s) during the 10:15 AM service. A "Fun Pack" is provided for each child to keep them engaged during the message.
Youth/Teens (6th grade +): REACH (youth ministry) meets with the adults in the Cafe Class at 9:15 AM. Their interactions with the adults contribute greatly in this discussion-based environment. Our teens then remain together (or with their family) in the 10:15AM service. Each week our students return Sunday evenings (7:00 - 8:30) for youth group!
MUSIC & WORSHIP STYLE
Worship at ACC is focused on Jesus. (Listen to a few thoughts on worship from Pastor John)
MUSIC: The singing is a mix of older and newer songs with an acoustic, contemporary style. The music is also blended with various Scripture readings and times of prayer. Our aim is for the whole of the congregation to participate in worshiping Jesus, rather than observing a performance.
COMMUNION: Every worship service is a time to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, on the first Sunday of each month, ACC partakes in communion together. The elements (a small cracker and grape juice) are available to all who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, regardless of denomination.
TITHES/OFFERING: Each Sunday we have the opportunity to give tithes and offerings as an act of worship. Visitors should not feel obligated to give financially.
Messages at ACC are generally expository, meaning they seek to declare the point of a particular Biblical passage and then provide practical application for daily living. Typical sermon series cover a selected book of the Bible. All preaching at ACC ultimately points to Jesus Christ as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and coming King.
