Mrs. Petrey has an extreme passion for teaching children and making education fun! She has an elementary certification (K-6) from Meridith College and a psychology degree for North Carolina State University. After graduating, she taught in various elementary and preschools. Later, she home schooled her daughter for 12 years.
Ms. Emi began as a volunteer with us for six month before she joined our team. She loves having fun with kids! While in Japan, she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and is a licensed kindergarten and nursery school teacher (birth through K). Ms. Emi has a combined 16 years of experience with children, nine of which were working at a preschool in Japan.
Ms. Marina was born in Greece and came to the U.S. as a student. She attended the University of Oregon, receiving a bachelor’s degree in child psychology and a master’s degree in special education. She is married and has one grown son.

As a Virginia native, Ms. Laurie has a heart for the local community. She attends Arlington Community Church and serves in children’s ministries. Completing 2 years at Piedmont Community College, she worked at Rainbow Road Preschool as an Assistant Teacher for 4 years and has been a lead teacher here for 3 years. Her favorite color is blue and she loves sea turtles!

Ms. Janith finished her Bachelor of Elementary Education in the Philippines. She has worked as a nanny in China, Hong Kong, and in Virginia. She is married and has 2 children. This is Ms. Janith’s 5th year at Arlington Community Preschool.
