Welcome back! The 2015-2016 School Year is officially in session!
Mondays thru Thursdays during the month of August, we will be offering a Summer Camp from 9am until 3pm. The children will be able to take advantage of extra learning time, as well as plenty of fun summer activities planned! For more information, or to download the registration form, visit our "Registration" tab.
Join us as we celebrate Good Friday with a service at Lockwood House, an assisted living facility in our neighborhood. The children will sing and interact with the residents, bringing them great joy in this very important season, when we celebrate the risen King!
School will be closed. Classes will resume Tuesday, April 7th.
The children have been learning about health the past two weeks and how important it is to make healthy choices when it comes to our snacks. So we will wrap up this lesson with a celebration featuring healthy choices! There is no need to send a regular snack in with your child this day.
Send your preschooler dressed in their Halloween costume to participate in a fun Halloween parade, followed by a Parent Appreciation Breakfast. The children will be able to change out of costumes, if desired, and will celebrate with a Halloween party later in the day. More details to come...
Make sure they comb their hair and wear their favorite clothes! It's picture day at Rainbow Road! Look for more information being sent home with your preschooler.
Rainbow Road Preschool is going on a field trip! We will be heading to the Pumpkin Playground at Burke Nursery. Hay rides, giant slides, storytelling, forts, teepees, and of course - plenty of pumpkins! Please have your preschooler at school by 9:00 in order to depart on-time. It should be a fun way to celebrate fall! Please don't forget to return your child's permission slip and let us know if you can chaperone and/or drive.
WGTS 91.9 will be recording the children at Rainbow Road Preschool as they say their "Pledge of Allegiance" in the morning. More information will follow on when it will air, but parents, friends and family can listen to the recording at www.wgts.org/say-the-pledge. If your preschooler does not usually attend school on Tuesdays, please feel free to bring them from 9:15-9:45 so that they can participate. Keep practicing the pledge with your child!
Come out to Bluemont Park on Sept. 21 at 10 am for a free Concert and Picnic in the park. Everyone is encouraged to come and bring friends and neighbors. We will have a live band, food, games, moon bounce, and face painting.
